Indications:
- Frontal sinusitis following ESS
- Lateralized middle turbinate
Highlights:
- Lysis of adhesions and mobilization/resection of middle turbinate
- Removal of agger nasi cells
- Probing and enlargement of frontal ostium
- Optional placement of silastic stent
Keep in Mind:
- Frontal sinus stents have not been proven to improve long-term patency
- If this technique fails, a formal frontal sinus drillout (modified Lothrop) may be necessary
